Too Many Low Self Esteem Signs

by J

My low self esteem signs include the following symptoms:

I Find it hard to concentrate

I question my every move

A voice inside me tells me that I know nothing, and that I'm stupid, worthless and never learn

I get overemotional

I am quick to anger

I am defensive

I get very jealous

I start to compare myself to everyone else...and always think I'm less.

I start to feel like I need to catch up with other people and their progress.
I withdraw

I feel unworthy to talk to people

I feel like a failure and a joke

I become very insecure about my relationships

I get needy

I question everyone's motives and become paranoid

I devalue everything I've done as down to luck

I see myself in needy, desperate, emotional and unsuccessful people

A New Way of Seeing Self-Esteem?

Steve here, and for the last few years (since Oct 2012, actually) I've been seeing (and thinking about) low self-esteem in a different way. Not as a problem to fix, but as feedback to notice (and nothing more). That's right: nothing to fix, everything to notice. And all this became obvious to me after being introduced to the Three Principles behind life (in Oct 2012).

I created a free 1-page Self-Esteem Guide that explains more, anyway. You can read about it here (NO EMAIL REQUIRED) - SMNash.com/self-esteem-guide/

Thank you - Steve

This is, indeed, a big list of low self esteem symptoms. I am sorry that your life is limited so much by your own doubts in your self and I wonder where they stem from.

I do believe, though - speaking as someone who has experienced (and still does, to a much lesser extent) some of these low self esteem signs - that knowledge of our behaviour is the first step to changing it.

I also think, hope, that your writing this list on the Self Help Collective website - for all of us to view and ponder on - has been of a small, positive start in the direction of change.

Thanks so much for sharing yourself here, J
