Welcome to September 2011's Monthly Marvel...

The Monthly Marvel Online is simply the online monthly edition of the Weekly Wonder with "extras" - hello and welcome! :-)

Wasn't August fabulous! Well it was for me. I went to The Edinburgh Fringe Festival (a worldwide-famous festival of comedy and performance - wow!), and I really enjoyed sharing in my latest Monthly Marvel video (see below!).

Anyway, this issue is all about overcoming fears. Overcoming the fear of doing something new, or ending something old, or even (daft as it sounds) the fear of sharing your fears...

So if I had to recommend one page within the SelfHelpCollective for you to check out in September, it would have to be this one: how to overcome fear (so few wise souls like you have shared how they successfully overcome their fears - won't you be one of the first to share what's worked for you!!)

Featured Self-Help Resource

Natural Hypnosis have just launched their brand new self-hypnosis resource, offering "Hypnosis CDs & MP3s to Change Your Life".

Now I'm not sure if you're familiar with the self-growth potential of self-hypnosis, but whether you are or not, you can try out their products for free to see how it works for you. Yes, NaturalHypnosis are letting you download 3 free hypnosis albums (Natural Self Assurance, Natural Focus, and Natural Tranquility)

And all you have to do is give them your name and email address... Natural Hypnosis Free Downloads. Enjoy

What's New at SelfHelpCollective.com

Ah, this is the easiest bit of the Monthly Marvel newsletter to write because what's new can ALWAYS be found at this page: What's new at SelfHelpCollective.com. I love it when that happens! ;-)

YOUR Feedback - What You Say!

We're always getting great stories of success (and of struggle) here are Self Help Collecive. So much so it's hard to choose a particular story (feedback or commentary) to share with you. But, after some thought, I thought I'd stick with the theme of hypnosis and personal change...

Marian's Story is all about how hypnotherapist Barrie St John managed to help Marian become 'unstuck' - free her up from her negative thoughts and beliefs.

NOTE: I also created a page explaining the benefits of self-hypnosis downloads too, that you might like to read.

Dale Carnegie Marvels...

"Do the thing you fear to do and keep on doing it... that is the quickest and surest way ever yet discovered to conquer fear."

More Quotes about overcoming fear...
"The thing you fear most has no power. Your fear of it is what has the power. Facing the truth really will set you free."
-- Oprah Winfrey

"Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood."
-- Marie Curie

"Stand up to your obstacles and do something about them. You will find that they haven't half the strength you think they have."
-- Norman Vincent Peale

Okay, that's me done with talking and share, now it's your turn. Yep, it's time for you to have your say - for you to share your wisdom, your views on what you think about Dale Carnegie's inspirational quote, the other quotes about fear, or on my video.

And you can do so in the following ways...

Post "Private Video" Thoughts on Fear
by: sandy

As you were talking about fear I just sat and got still. Not just physcially still, but emotionally and mentally as well. Funny. I have been reading a book by Gangaji and she was discussing that Papaji, her guru, told her that the answer to everything is just to "stop". And what that meant was to stop adding to the "story" of you. So her book was written from the perspective of how we concoct these stories to escape the essence of who we are. And when I heard your video the same line of thoughts were conveyed. So I stopped my story of the "fear" of this and the "fear of that" and what I came up for me was an emotion expressed in tears. I kept looking and what I saw is that the "fear(s)" are a mask and a part of the story of not wanting to do self inquiry. Not wanting to see who I am in this moment. Not wanting to face whatever comes up. And this is the problem. I'm not sure who I am, what "I" like and what "I" want to express. I am impressionable. I follow what others say. It's easier that way. Yet something tells me that what works for them will not work for me. I don't trust my own mind at times. It's so frustrating. I once stopped doing something I liked because I received a criticism. My real "fear" was my own inadequacy and opening myself up to others assessment of me in the first place. I feared going to that place deep within.

Thank you for the Monthly Marvel. It was really worth the wait and the issues timely for me.

Could you in another video talk what your fears were in doing your website business and if you got over some of the initial fears by working through them. And or if other new fears come up and what you've learned. If this is something you don't want to discuss, then that is fine too. I just thought I would ask. Thank you.
