10 Greatest Quotes (Part 2)

The top 10 greatest inspirational quotes? Well, I'm doing my best to share what I think to be the best transformational quotations, and this is page two: four more of the greatest quotes...

Inspirational quote by Marva Collins

Again, I've reviewed 1000s and 1000s of inspirational quotations and these are my top 10 greatest inspirational quotes of ALL time...

"The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek." -- Joseph Campbell

Oh boy!... The F-word... Fear... The good news is that whilst it's important to face your fears, fear does not need to be conquered (mastered). Instead, you just need to understand fear, use fear to guide you to the special parts of you that you've so far managed to hide from.

And when I say 'special', I don't just mean 'nasty' or unpleasant, I mean the 'ALL of you' - the qualities in you that you've yet to acknowledge, as well as the faults/strengths that you can so far only recognise when you see them in others. (A word for this is Shadow, all explained in John Monbourquette's How To Befriend Your Shadow.)

This 'ALL of you' is worth embracing fully, worth accepting - it brings peace of mind, believe me, and it allows you to fully grow as a human being, to BE yourself.

In short, the answer to your biggest problems in life lie in the last place you'd think (or want) to look...

Another great inspirational quote that talks about the importance of fear is this one:
"Men are disturbed not by things that happen, but by their opinion of the things that happen."
-- Epictetus

Inspiring Action: UNDERSTAND FEAR

"If there is no enemy within, the enemy outside can do us no harm." -- African proverb

This is a new inspirational quote to me, discovering it only just a few days ago. But it's so powerful, so fundamental to how we human beings work, that I had to include it here on this page of top 10 greatest inspirational quotes. Why?...

The truth is, there really is only one 'enemy' in our lives and it's the enemy within. If somebody says something hurtful to you, it only hurts because you think it's true (the enemy within thinks it's true). If you don't think it's true, then these 'hurtful' words become puzzling words.

And the same goes for hurtful actions - you are only 'offended' if you (or the enemy within) 'chooses' to be offended.

So the only problem to be solved, the only enemy to be faced, is the one that lies within. This is an inside job, and it all starts with awareness, with noticing, and with refusing to blame others for your thoughts and feelings. (Building self-esteem via self-hypnosis, is one route you could take to boost the self-love!)

It really is as simple as that. And if get it, get the full responsibility of this proverb for your life, then you really will be living a happier life I guarantee it...

Another inspirational quote that sums this up is:
"You are the only problem you will ever have and you are the only solution."
-- Bob Proctor

Inspiring Action: SOLVE 'PROBLEMS'

"Be the change you want to see in the world." -- Mahatma Gandhi

This inspirational quote is almost a cliche, for you and me both probably. It appears all over the place, online, and there are not many people that disagree with the sentiments of it.

But still, here we are on a brand new day, and the world is a 'bad' place because this person or that government did something 'wrong'. Again. "Oh why oh why oh why!"

Oh why do we get back into the knee-jerk reaction game of blaming others for how things turned out? (So easy to jerk that knee, I guess!) C'mon - and I'm talking directly to you, now - c'mon and start to put these words of Gandhi's into practice, eh! Let's you and me both make the world a better place, and let's do it now...

Another great inspirational quote that sums up this powerful life-philosophy is this one:
"Don't spend your precious time asking 'Why isn't the world a better place?' It will only be time wasted. The question to ask is 'How can I make it better?' To that there is an answer."
-- Leo F. Buscaglia

Inspiring Action: CHANGE & GROW

"Peace of mind comes from not wanting to change others."
-- Gerald G. Jampolosky

I love the book that I took this quote from. It's called Love is Letting Go of Fear, and it's a powerful little book that urges us to love instead of fear. And when I read the words above, I just stopped for a moment, and pondered.

That IS what we we're all trying to do, right: change others? "I mean, why can't they just be, well just be more like me?" Well, they can't! That's your job, to be like you, and it's their job to be like them.

Really, your life will get a whole lot easier, and more pleasant, if you stop wishing for other people to change. Change yourself (see previous top 10 greatest inspirational quote), and leave them be!

You'll be doing yourself the biggest of favours if you take on board Gerald G. Jampolsky's wise words...

Another great inspirational quote that sums this up is this:
"If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other."
-- Mother Teresa

Inspiring Action: MAKE PEACE

NOTE: As regards these greatest inspirational quotes... this is how I see it. I may well not see things as you do, but all I can do is share how I see things, right now (that's all ANYONE can do, by the way!)
