What I Wonder...

Listen to my thoughts about this first Wayne Dyer inspirational quote in the video below. You'll also discover a bit more about where I live in West Yorkshire (England!) - this time the video location is the fantastic Brockholes train station...

(NOTE: Yes, I wrote any captions you see in this video. It's called self-deprecation, and it's mostly a healthy thing (I think!).)

So, as I said in the video, I consider this inspirational quote to be truly transformational (and that's why I decided to *do* rather than explain).

Imagine truly understanding the notion that someone can treat you 'badly' - i.e. unwisely, or from a place of pain or ignorance - and that indicates their karma, their own (un-)happiness with themself.

And then imagine how you react to this treatment of yourself. You too can react 'badly' - i.e. defensively and justifiably, but ultimately unwisely and from your place of pain or ignorance - and the 'problem' between you both is never resolved, the situations just rumbles on and on.

OR you can not react at all, you can choose to respond with whatever love, wisdom and presence that are at your disposal.

Maybe you're thinking that they will "get away with it" if you do this, if you do not defend yourself.

The truth is, though, the person that suffers in these exchanges is, ultimately, you. And when you respond with love and wisdom YOU benefit - you stop taking part in the drama, you stop giving it life.

Okay, maybe you're thinking that you don't have this love, and this wisdom that I talk about, to be able to respond from such a "higher place".

Well... there's something that can be done about that realisation, for any student, isn't there?...

Yes, even though I'm not a fan of gurus, per se, and even though I got Wayne Dyer's surname wrong (twice) in this video, I really think Wayne's words contain life-transforming power. If ever a quote said that your life is your responsibility, it is this one.

So thank you very much Wayne Dyer for sharing your wisdom.

What YOU wonder?...

And, as for YOU, I'd love to hear your wisdom, your thoughts, regarding any of the free inspirational quotes from Wayne Dyer... You can leave comments below! :-)

Wayne Dyer rocks!
by: Jennifer M

Steve,
I really like Dr Wayne Dyer, I have him watched him at least twice on PBS. Actually, oh my gosh, it just occured to me that first time I heard him was in my aunt's friend son's car while he was driving us all to and from Harrods when I visited England in 2005! Wow, I just remember that. I thought he was amazing when I heard him on cd and when I saw him on PBS I was hooked. He is a fellow Taurus, like you! Take care.

Your Karma and my Karma and new book review
by: Anonymous

Hi Steve,

just watched your last video with the message that how people treat you is their Karma and your response to it is yours.

All this reminds me one of most interesting books which I just read. I discovered it, while in the Netherlands with my daughter who studies psychology after work.

The book was written by a South African psycologist called Rob Nairn from the Cape who studied Buddism for more than 40 years.

His work titled Living Dreaming Dying doesn't only deal with Karma but takes it all much further. Some terrific tutorials make following them very easy.

The beauty about it is that Eastern thoughts have been put into the right words by Nairn which can be better grasped by us Westerners.

I couldn't pass the book onto you, as it is not mine. Order this normal paperback at Amazon. It's absolutely worth more than its low price.
