Try, Try, Trying again Free Inspirational Quotes
by Steve M Nash
Weekly Wonder Online: 14 This is the online archive of The Weekly Wonder. And this (full-length) edition discusses several inspirational quotations about trying including one by W. C. Fields, in both text and video form. And you can receive a shorter version of the Weekly Wonder newsletter, sent to you by email, by subscribing - see below. W. C. Fields wonders..."If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. There's no use being a damn fool about it." Listen to my thoughts about W C Fields' (Charles F Kettering's, Mary Anne's and The Rolling Stone's), inspirational quote in the video below. You'll also discover a bit more about my favourite place in London - Tate Modern! What I Wonder...(Please feel free to comment - either at YouTube or below. Your comments are much appreciated - thank you.) As I say in the video - twice! - I love the Tate Modern building located near South Bank, London. And even though it's clearly not located in West Yorkshire (where I shoot all my Weekly Wonder videos, usually!) I just had to record a video there. And as I'd already unsuccessfully filmed a bit of nonsense masquerading as a Weekly Wonder video there a month or so ago I thought some inspirational quotes about trying again most apt. And my favourite of those quotations about trying (or not quitting) happened to be by W C Fields. It's easy to urge ourselves on and on and on to keep trying, trying and trying. But sometimes, you know what, it's time to call it a day and try something else! And at the end of a long day's journey to London from Brockholes, West Yorkshire where I live, W C Fields amusing words just seemed to fit right for me... Not a Weekly Wonder Subscriber, Yet?
You really should know what you're really trying to achieve with your actions. Maybe you've lost focus. Do you really, really have to have that job? Or would a job that gave you similar responsibilities or freedoms be just as valuable? Same goes for relationships, homes, holidays... whatever it is that you keep trying to get right, but seem to fail at. Do you really need to try, try again? Or might success be recognising that your path lies in a different direction. Of course, I'm not suggesting - via endorsing W C Field's funny inspirational quote - that quitting is always the right answer. If it was, then fear of commitment, fear of rejection, fear of failure - all of these most common fears - would win out again and again. I'm just saying that, maybe just maybe you need to give some attention to this, apply some good ol' fashioned "inner wisdom" or intuition . And believe me! When I talk about you, I really, really mean ME here, too. As ever, I'd love to hear your wisdom regarding any and all of these inspirational quotes to do with trying again (not quitting) - thanks! :-) Thanks for reading, Steve PS And here are the other try, try, trying again inspirational quotes "It doesn't matter if you try and try and try again, and fail. It does matter if you try and fail, and fail to try again." PPS Now please comment, please have your say - thanks.
