Personal Development Plan
A personal development plans starts with setting your goals! That's what Alicia Forest says in her article below. She goes on to show how setting goals in different aspects of your life - family, social, spiritual, physical and intellectual - and a bit of brainstorming and personal honesty can result in clear goals for each year of your life. Goals that will deliver what you expect and deserve from life. Sounds like such a plan might actually be a good thing to do... (And I'm not sure you need to look at templates, samples or examples of development plans either. But if you want to, you'll find links below.) Personal development plan - what I say...I like how Alicia explains how to create your very own plan. I might even go about doing it, one day. Right now though, I'm reading (and working through) Timothy Ferris' 4 Hour Work Week book which is about taking any and every short-cut you can to doing the things that you want in life. So I'll stick with Tim's view of the personal development world, for now anyway... (By the way, Alicia talks about Vivid Vision. (Don't you just love self-help jargon! She means this: Vivid Vision - but they you probably already knew that, eh!) Please tell me what you think too! And, finally (for now), I think we could all do a lot worse than following the personal development plan shown in this video below. What fantastic attitudes to life we would then have...
Personal development plan - what Google says...It seems that you people looking for personal development plans are also looking for the following, too:
Well, this is one time I'm going to defer to a guru - a guru called Google. I have as much idea about these things as you do (maybe less), and Google has a fine list of resources just waiting for you to check out. (One of my personal development goals is to not feel I have to do everything all the time! ;-) ) Okay, Alicia, take it away... Your Personal Development PlanPersonal development plan - what Alicia Forest has to say...(Excerpted and revised from my Polished, Planned & Prepared Program) This is one of my favorite parts of the program. I love defining goals because I know that the simple act of writing them down increases the likelihood of actually achieving them by 70%! Isn't that amazing? So I wonder why more people don't do this? I do recognize that it does take time to really think about what it is that you want and when you'd like for those things to be a part of your life. But writing down your goals (and actually looking at them!) is the most powerful and fastest way for them to come true (like writing your Vivid Vision). And this e-lesson will help you define them in about an hour. So let's have some fun. In your Vivid Vision, you imagined a whole bunch of things you want in your life. Whatever you wrote is in your mind's eye right now, so let's start working towards making them tangible things in your life. When you're done with this exercise, coupled with your Vivid Vision, you should feel an anticipation so great, it will spur you forward to making your dreams a reality. Step 1:
Step 2: Keep asking yourself what it is that you want with the full belief that whatever that is, it is possible. Come from a place of expectation, that you deserve whatever it is that you really, really want. One of my favorite motivational quotes is "what would I do if I knew I could not fail?" It's amazing what possibilities this opens up. It's important to remember as you do this exercise that you don't need to know HOW any of these goals will come about. Step 3: Remember that a goal is a dream with a deadline. Choose when you want to reach these goals: 1 year or less, 5 years or less, 10 years or less, etc. Step 4: Know that if you have a big enough WHY, the HOW will come. Once you are done, you should have 5 goals to shoot for over the next 12 months that are not only exciting to think about, but inspiring to know that achieving them is highly possible! © 2007 Alicia M Forest and ClientAbundance.com ---------------------------------------------------- Note: you'll find another article here...
