Because, at the end of the day... What IS the purpose of self-help, self-improvement and personal development... if it doesn't lead to us smiling more? At least for a little while, anyway?

What the Self Help Collective says...

Well, this is what you'll find on the Self Help Collective website when it comes to "huh?" - i.e. learning from fun, inspiring self-help 'stuff', as edited by me:

About life, the universe and everything (huh?) - what WE say...

I did a lot of research (and planning) before I started to create this self-help website, before I even built one web page (see my site building diary, for details).

I visited lots of self-help websites and read lots of self-help books etc.

And, every now and then, I found an inspiring word or inspiring video; and I learnt a little more about the meaning of life, the universe and everything! (Answer: 42.)

You can find many of the inspirational videos I found on my quest inside the Self Help Collective website (or find a full list at Self Help Collective's YouTube page).

And as for the inspiring words, I'm going to list them all here (in no particular order).

I hope that in helping yourself at the Self Help Collective, you can also laugh, cry and just be inspired as I have been by the words that follow. Life is about learning, I agree, but it's also about enjoyment and laughter too. And I hope these words can do that for you. As always, I welcome your feedback.

Talking of inspirational videos, and without further ado, I'm going to introduce you to two people who brightened many people's lives (including mine) in the UK during the 70s and 80s. They performed comedy sketches and sang songs and always finished their entertaining with song that began with these words, "Bring me sunshine..."

Yes, I'm talking about the legendary Morecambe and Wise. Over to you two...

I'm a Brit and Morecambe and Wise brought me much, much sunshine. And I say thankyou for that and RIP! :-)

Yes, this page is all about joy and happiness and smiling and reading inspirational words. That is what it's all about, after all - ain't it?
