Helping Others... Helps You Too!

by Jean
(United Kingdom)

The death of your partner can mean the end of one life, yes, but also the beginning of another...

(STORY THEME: self-help)

... My husband died of heart failure at the tender age of 36. We had 3 young children and we were all naturally traumatised.

Some time later I joined CRUSE (a UK bereavement organisation) and I later went on to qualify as a Counsellor.

I also worked with Victim Support and subsequently qualified as a Life Coach.

The death of my husband fired in me the desire to try and help people find life a little more bearable and also gave me a sense of purpose.

I now run, with my daughter, a Cotswold Holiday Cottage called Fountain View - a place with a wonderful, tranquil atmosphere.
