What I Wonder...

Listen to my thoughts about these funny inspirational quotes in the video below. You'll also discover a bit more about a favourite place of mine in Yorkshire (England!) - this time the video location is Sheffield train station!...

(NOTE: Yes, *I* wrote any captions you see in this video. It's called self-deprecation, and it's mostly a healthy thing (I think!).)

As I say in the video above, a lot of my weekly wonder inspirational quotes are a bit serious, so I thought it time to let my hair down, so to speak, and add a bit of levity.

For no matter how doom and gloomy the world is - and whatever day and year you're reading this, I'm betting something disastrous has just happened or is about to happen - there is always, and I mean ALWAYS, time to smile and laugh.

Otherwise, what is the point to life?

(And, yes on this funny inspirational quotation page I am being a bit serious!)

So I don't share any particular deep thoughts about the funny quotations discussed, though all contain some truisms. Instead, I leave you with some funny quotes just because they might make you ticker or is that tattle - no I think the word I'm looking for is... tittle!

And if you'd like to read some more free inspirational quotes, either do a search on Google (and you'll find SelfHelpCollective.com on the first page no less - wow), or just click this link: free funny inspirational quotes

That's it really.

No idea what I'm going to talk about in the second half of this page.

Oh my!...

Er...

You still here! Oh, I thought you'd have gone by now. Erm...

Okay, if you insist (and it looks like you do!) I'll quickly speed through my thoughts on one of the funny quotes I talked about in the video.

Hmm, which one shall it be.

I know! Let it be the funniest quotation, and the one that sums up the philosophy behind the Self Help Collective!

"Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others." -- Groucho Marx

Well, this is my way of a) not taking myself seriously (or this website, for that matter) and b) encouraging you to think for yourself and have your own views.

So if somebody says something wise and it resonates with you then that's all fine and dandy - embrace, and embody! But if it all sounds a load of tosh (a not so posh word for nonsense) then I suggest you leave that piece of wisdom alone - it's not for you... yet, if ever!

(Includes that bit of wisdom, too, if you like!)

...Oh, it's just too difficult to say anything serious on a page dedicated to free funny inspirational quotes.

Don't you think?...

What YOU wonder?...

As ever, I'd love to hear your wisdom (do you have any? ;-)), and your thoughts regarding any of the funny inspirational quotes shared here... You can leave comments below! :-)

Thanks for reading,
Steve

Me first! :-D
by: Steve

I wonder if funny quotes should be inspirational, or is the main issue FUNNY?

Hmm... whilst I ponder that one... here is a funny quote from Woody Allen...

"Love is the answer, but while you're waiting for the answer, sex raises some pretty interesting questions."
-- Woody Allen

Funny I can't think of a funny quote when I need one
by: sandra

I can't think of a funny quote and not much to say on the ones you chose except they prompted the following flashback:

When I was younger (although age has nothing to do with it, unless your bladder has gotten weaker over the years) I was reading some OSHO stuff and he was big on laughter as healing.(Maybe you can put a link to one of his books here for those not familiar with him)

Anywhoo, in one of his books he talked about the concept of laughing about nothing. My intial reaction is that this seemed like a "dumb" thing to do. But anyway I decided I would ask my hubby to try it with me. He gave me the strangest look.

But he decided to do it thinking he could prove that he wouldn't laugh and this exercise was just some strange thing I read.

So we sat on the sofa very still. We were still about 10 minutes(waiting for the laugh to come up) and then I laughed because it was stupid for us to sit and laugh about nothing. And then he laughed because I was laughing over nothing. And then we both laughed at each other laughing over nothing.

And before you know it, we were rolling over the floor, doubled over with laughter and this went on for about a half hour and periodically during the day.

I had never laughed so hard in my life. Afterward, I did feel really good. (major endorphin release)

If you're up to it. Try it. Let me know what happens.
