Sometimes I get to talk about an inspirational quote that I feel humbles me, and I am not worthy of talking about. And this inspirational quote by Dennis Waitley is one such time.

Whilst I completely identify with the message of Dennis Waitley's words, and of course I agree wholeheartedly with his thoughts on happiness, I am so NOT FULLY THERE right now:

• YES, I understand that happiness is not a destination, but a journey. (I live fairly humbly, by western standards anyway - don't have a car, or TV or loads of gadgets - and am still happy with simple things, walking eating simple food I enjoy.)


• YES, I completely accept that consumption is NOT the answer to any problem worth solving


• YES, I get that it's not my achievements that matter, but my attitude to those achievements and my attitude to the achievements of others


• NO, however, to living in the moment and finding happiness in the tick-by-tick moments that each and everyday offer - even when you're stuck in big queue at the supermarket, or your neighbour's playing loud music (again!) at a late hour

I wish.

I really do wish.

Gratitude for the moments (every moment) - wow, that is so much the journey I want to take in my life, it really is.

Dennis Waitley's quote, I guess, shows me the light at the end of the tunnel, and the fact that I am still in the tunnel
