A Child Touched the Heart of Jesus

When I was a little boy - I'm not sure how old - I was outside playing in our front yard.

I was pretending like me and Jesus were in a battle with the devil. I had a trash can lid for a shield and a stick for a sword.

I pretended that Jesus fell and the devil tried to get him but I said don't worry Jesus I'll protect you. So I shielded Jesus and stabbed the devil with my sword.

I don't really know why I looked up at that moment but I saw something floating down to me. It was a little piece of paper. I reached up and grabbed it out of the sky. It was a little note that said "Jesus loves you".

I'll never forget that. There have been times in my life when I have really felt bad about myself but I'll always know that I truly touched the heart of Jesus that day and that he loves me.
